Sharon Wehner

Sharon Wehner has been finding joy through movement and dance her entire life. She has
been dancing since the age of three and is in her 21st season as a principal dancer with the Colorado Ballet. Sharon has been teaching ballet and dance for over 22 years, to students of all ages, from toddler to 80-year old.
Besides traditional dance classes, Sharon also teaches dance to people with health challenges, such as Parkinsons Disease and Neuropathy.
Throughout her career, Sharon has practiced yoga as a way to re-balance her body and connect more deeply with her spirituality. She believes yoga, whether vigorous or gentle, can be a beautiful vehicle to bridge and align our emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual bodies. She is a Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor, and teaches a Vinyasa flow style class.
Sharon is also trained to teach *GYROKINESIS(R), a movement method that gently works the entire body, opening up energy pathways stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion, and creating functional strength through rhythmic, flowing movement sequences.
Sharon believes that the human body was meant to move, and one of her greatest joys is to help people find healing and freedom through moment, whether it be dance, yoga, or GYROKINESIS*. In addition to dancer and teacher, Sharon is a Reiki Master, and finds deep satisfaction in facilitating holistic healing through energy work.
*GYROKINESIS is a registered trademark of Gyrotonic Sales Corp.
